An original 1950s/1960s French heavy leather fireman's jacket. These are very very hard to find these days and I'm very lucky to have had it in my archive, and also for it now to be available to you! This is a gorgeous piece produced from a very soft and thick full-grain leather with a poly-cotton (or blend thereof) lining. The jacket has all original covered buttons and is complete with the neck strap. A classic piece that will still be stylish (and highly collectable!) in the decades to come.
Condition:
- Very good vintage condition, there is a small scuff near one of the shoulders (photographed) but not particularly visible when worn unless looking for it and to be expected of a workwear jacket of this age. There is also a fix to the lining on the cuff (photographed). Altogether in a lovely condition for an item of this age. Please study the photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description.
Detailed measurements (measured when lying flat, the jacket has raglan sleeves so the measurements have been taken with this in mind):
Collar-to-cuff: 30” (~76cm)
Pit-to-cuff: 17” (~43cm)
Chest width (pit-to-pit): 21” (~53.5cm)
Waist: 19.5” (~49.5cm)
Front length: 32” (~81.5cm)
Please check the above measurements and compare to a similar garment of your own before purchasing. I am unable to offer refunds for items that don’t fit.
Materials:
- Leather exterior
- Poly-cotton (or blend thereof) lining
